My Favorite Places to eat in Paris

I love sushi and authentic Japanese food.

My first favorite is AKASAKA in the 16eme near metro Passy or La Muette. Here, you can find fresh sushi and authentic dishes...one of the best in Paris. I've met some famous French singers in this restaurant. It's a bit pricey though...but worth every penny!

My second favorite is JIPANGUE in the 8eme near metro St. Phillipe du Roule. Here, you can find good sushi and excellent  Japanese barbecue where you grill your own thinly slices of meat at your table (special made tables imported from Japan). Many locals come here for the value lunch menus, and many Japanese come here for the BBQ upstairs. I come here almost every Saturday night for dinner...it's like a family restaurant. Whenever we eat here, we always made stops at the Virgin Megastore, FNAC and Sephora before heading elsewhere. OR just sit in a chic cafe outside on Champs Elysees for people watching...it's fun and I like it!

My third favorite is HIGUMA in the 1re near metro Pyramides at Opera Garnier. Here, you can find delicious Japanese noodles (lamen) cook in any style. This place is usually packed during lunch hours by locals and Japanese people. Great food...great price!

OK...since I am 100% Vietnamese origin, I go to LE BAMBOU for traditional Vietnam food. This small and family restaurant is always packed with French, locals, tourists and Vietnamese people--they don't accept reservation! It's located in the 13eme (Chinatown) near metro Tolbiac or Maison Blanche. I come here when I rave for some nem (eggrolls) and other authentic Vietnamese dishes. Be ready to eat fast and go!

My favorite Chinese restaurant is FLEURS DE MAI in the 13eme near metro Porte de Choisy. This tiny place has the best Chinese noodles in town. You can watch the cook making your noodle bowls right in front of you if you sit at the table near the entrance. Best known for many of its house special dishes.

My favorite Thai restaurant is LAO SIAM in the 19eme near metro Belleville. It serves authentic Thai food with its original tastes.  This friendly restaurant is always packed with French and Thai people so expect some waiting time. I've had many fun with a good friend here--where I seduced a woman for him...and he got a date! A lucky guy indeed.

My favorite Korean restaurant is WOO JUNG in the 16eme near metro Passy or Trocadero. Authentic Korean food with authentic silver chopsticks...if you can handle them! Be aware, many dishes are very hot and spicy!

One of my favorite French restaurants is LE VOLTAIRE in the 7eme facing the Louvre Museum near metro Bac. This was the house of Voltaire where he'd died on May 30 1778. I love all of its specialties. The fun part was to watch famous TV and Politic people walk in, as well as super-rich French business people. They usually eat in the back rooms for privacy--it's not easy to get a reservation!

Another favorite one is LE TROIS in the 4eme near metro Hotel de Ville (the Marais quarter). This chic restaurant is best for its lunch menus. At 15 euros you can get a refine 3-course meal with wine. Menu changes daily. I've discovered this well-hidden restaurant while walking with some friends around Paris. Since then I've been taking most of my friends whom I met via pariswoman's website from around the world here for  lunch.

I love French crepes and my Russian girlfriend took me to LE CHALET in the 8eme near metro St. Phillipe du Roule for delicious crepes lunch. This restaurant is super chic with warmth decors, frequented by locals and business people. Reservation is highly recommended!

Another great crepe place is CREPERIE DES ARTS in the Latin quarter at metro St. Michel. I like to go here at night time--super fun!

Paris is currently trendy with sandwich shops made by the English. There is an interesting new one owned by an English woman who made everything from fresh and natural ingredients, so naked. All are authentic and simple honest food--just simply delicious! You can find NAKED in the 8eme near metro St. Phillipe du Roule or Franklin Roosevelt. It's always crowded at lunch time by the French people...so be prepared to take out or eat standing up!

The list won't be completed without an Italian restaurant--and my favorite one is NAPOLETANO in the 8eme near metro Franklin Roosevelt. Here, yummy...famous for its fresh home made pizza. You can see the pizza being baked in the firewood stove from your table. Most exciting pleasure is that you never know someone famous could walk in. I've met football players, TV stars,  designers, singers, etc. You name it, you got it!

Et voila, I guess my list is long enough...and I dare you to try them all. I left out the addresses so you could start your search and fun adventure in Paris.

Love Me Paris...
