I'm on Strike!

During the past weekend, my PC's hardrive went dead, alors I took out my laptop, transfered all the files that were saved on CDrom. And then my wireless card adapter for the internet started to act up. It went dead after a few minutes when I tried to update my daily blog here. So I looked for my MAC PowerBook G4 to log back on the internet again. It turned out that I have an old OS system that I could not use or download MSN messenger.

Et voila... encore I got stuck!!!

"Humm..." I wonder why everything is broken again? I thought to myself.

So on Monday, I got on bus #29 near my place--which conveniently stops right in front of the computer superstore "Surcouf" in Paris. I don't usually go to this store because it confuses me. I don't really understand the thinking mind of French people when they organize their shops. When I first looked at it, everything seems to be everywhere. I did not know where to start or where to look for what.

Ok... I marched around the store looking up and down like a tourist visiting Paris from the Amazon. I stopped almost every salesman for information and I still got lost. Finally one nice young man took me to where I wanted to be. I spent almost 1 hour in the Apple section admiring the impressive large thin screens. A bit later, I decided to buy the new Tiger X OS system and an Ethernet card adapter. Well...they were not cheap!!!

I left the store and bumped right into a parade of good looking Frenchmen dressed in uniforms and on horses. I quickly grabbed my mobile phone and snapped a photo of the fabulous demonstration. It looked like the Queen of England was coming to town or something--I was lucky to see the parade just in time. Donc, at least I came home with a Mona Lisa smile indeed.

Et voila...la France is on strike today to stop the new employment law, and me I'm on strike to stop the string of bad lucks. Ah oui c'est la vie.

Love Me Paris...
