Someone asked me the other day, do Latin lovers exist and what
are they? Perhaps they wanted to find an answer from me as I'm
a Latin man, so I decided to go in that quest to find the
best answer possible--and so I went in to the library of my
heart and I asked the women for their own definitions.
First of all, as a man I realized so many times we put on
masks in order to cover our fears, worries or anything that
somehow we don't want to face, especially coming from the
Macho mentality, where you have to be tough. But as time goes by
you get tired and realize that you have not been real with
yourself and everyone else, especially women. One day, I
decided to face my heart and get to know it. It was painful
and scary realizing I'm a man with feelings, fears, worries
and so many other things that I needed to face in order to
clean my heart and be real with everybody. If I get to know my
heart then I can share it with you because I know what I have
to offer you, and if I'm real with you, there will be no
masks, simply ME.
Love and passion are the essence of who I am. This is
something that I desperately want to convey so that people
will have a greater understanding of my heart and who I am. I
am, by nature, a passionate person. It's a passion that's
powerful, real, and easy to get lost in. It's a passion for
God, my family, people, nature, my country and traditions,
beauty and creativity, as well as for the woman I choose to love.
Everyday I try to have a greater understanding of my heart,
and to get a better grasp on the privilege of being a Latin
man. I try to figure out what is most important to me as a
man; my goals, hopes, dreams, and things I want to accomplish
in life. I felt obligated to do something, so I set out to
redefine the Latin Lover. It became a great adventure to share
my heart and passion with women.
As a Latin man, I love people and I share the most
valuable thing I have with them, my heart. Every person
who has touched my heart has helped me to develop a more
complete definition of love. I don't even consider one-night
stands or flings, because that lifestyle neglects what is most
important. I appreciate women and I'm faithful to the one I'm
with. I value her life, her love, her goals, and her dreams.
My aim is to complement her life, reciprocate her love, help
her reach her goals, and make her dreams a reality. We need to
have passion for everything in life; we are here for a reason
and sometimes we have to fight for that reason.
I'm passionate about every aspect of life, not just
romance. When you live each moment with passion, it shows that
you have a greater appreciation for life.
Right now, I'm learning how to be passionate about getting
to know God in a deeper and real way and sometimes that is not
easy. I believe that only God can make me a real man, worthy
of giving and receiving love. I learned that relationships
can never be based solely on love. In order to have peace
in a relationship, it needs to be based on doing what's right.
Sometimes love can make you go blind in our judgment and
that's not wise.
