To give you an example of another aspect of my life: When I'm
in love, dancing is a way I express how I feel about
that special person. When you put your heart into it, it
becomes more than a dance--it's a form of expression to say "Je
t'aime".
I enjoy looking at a beautiful woman, I like to contemplate
her hair moving in the wind, the way she walks, the way she
smiles, and the way she views life. Her beauty goes far beyond
her outward appearance. Each woman has her own beauty,
strength and mystery. They deserve to be loved, respected and
appreciated every single time.
The other day I was visiting downtown San Diego in
California, I realized that women are surrounded by beauty. My
eyes were paying attention to small details that were so
powerful. There was a mother buying an ice cream for her
child--the way she talked to him, the way she hugged him and
the way she said, "Hey here is your ice cream". There
was a working woman who passed by, so determined to conquer
the world. She looked so sexy in her dress like she was ready
to go into battle, and she was going to fight it with her
beauty. Then there was a grandmother who's waiting for her
daughter to help her sit down in a small cafe--the way she
smiled, the way time had been her ally over the years. Her
gray hair tells you her passion for life; perhaps it's her
pride to let you know she conquered many things in her life.
What I'm trying to share with you is that Latin man are
expressive and that can only happen if we connect with our
hearts, if we take time to get to know our hearts.
As I was walking in downtown San Diego, I realized how much I
have missed a special friend who is a part of my life. I
walked all over the place, and every place I went I longed to
be with her. Whether it was at the local cafe where we could
spend time sharing, or the store where she could try things
on, or simply walking down the street holding her hand--and by
that touch, I know that she is in my life. But it was only a
dream.
You see what I mean when I tell you that it is great to
connect with your heart. I ask God that someday all the things
I long to do with her will become a reality.
What is a Latin Lover?
A Latin lover is a man of passion, who has depth far beyond the
first impression. He longs to provide for the daily needs of
the woman whom his heart loves. He wants to protect her, to grow old with her, and to empower her to reach her dreams. He aches to become a
father and is already making plans for the future arrival of
those who will call him Papi!
Do these things make him any less sexy or passionate? If
anything they should make him more so. He has life in proper
perspective. Though the temptation is there, he chooses not to
gratify his passions with frivolous relationships. He seeks a
Godly woman who will support him when he is weak and allow him
to lead when he is strong. He's willing to work for her and he
enjoys the challenge of an endless pursuit. He's willing to
take risks, yet he cautiously prepares for the future. His
unexplored dimensions make him mysterious, but his willingness
to be vulnerable allows him to be known. And amazingly, he has
insight into the most guarded heart - his own.
Undoubtedly, as he continues to seek God's will, he will be
blessed with a wife who perfectly complements him. It is my
prayer that the world's definition of a Latin Lover would one
day reflect what I know to be true. (Lori A., Florida)
I believe this definition captures the essence of the true
Latin Lover, every word, every comma agrees with my heart.
